Once upon a time, the paper Verge was made by hand in huge vats. Today, G. Lalo makes the same paper according to traditional methods but with modern techniques. Verge refers to the grid of parallel translucent lines (vergeures") that was formed in handmade paper as the sheets were laid to dry (the origin of the term "laid finish.") These grids are very helpful as guides for handwriting.

"Verge de France" laid finish card is made with 25% cotton. The cards are pH neutral with no chlorine and laser or inkjet compatible. The vibrant color and versatility of these cards make them perfect for every occasion.
